Robert De Niro opens a hotel in neighboring Greece

Robert de Niro’s luxury hotel chain Nobu Hospitality will open its first hotel in Greece soon. “Nobu” is a relatively new name in the field of luxury hotel services, but is already known in the restaurant business as an international chain of elite sushi restaurants.

The brand, founded more than 25 years ago, started in Los Angeles with the first restaurant of Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa, called Nobu. Hollywood legend Robert De Niro ate at this restaurant and fell in love with Matsuhisa’s innovative approach to Japanese cuisine.

Following the success of the restaurant business, the two, along with businessman Meir Sega, headed to the hotels in 2013. Their latest project, in Greece, will be the 26th Nobu Hotel in the world and the tenth in Europe.
