Coming to present his latest show “Charlebois, Ducharme and the others”, Robert Charlebois returned the set 8/9 on VivaCité with his humor and contagious good humor. He also took the opportunity to talk about his admiration for the singer Taylor Swift with whom he has more than one thing in common…
“I’m a swiftie, I’ve read all his books, I know all his poems by heart” proclaims Robert Charlebois about the famous American singer, the first artist to become a billionaire solely thanks to her music. “Poetry pays. A billion without a derivative product is still enormous.”
“I love the poet, I love the singer” he says into Cyril’s microphone before noting the similarities between the singer and himself: “She’s been imitating me since she left kindergarten. I remade my tapes, she remade her tapes, I made a double album, no one talks about it, she made a double album, […] I do folklore, she does folklore, I do country, she does country… She does everything like me, it’s just here that it gets a little messy” he finishes, pointing to his face.
“I think she’s great on more than one level of course.”
