Born and raised in a modest family of 5 children in Martissant, Robenson Celestin, 34, is today a millionaire entrepreneur living in the United States of America. He tells us about his career.
Robenson Célestin did his classical studies at the Martissant Application Center, at the Lycée Toussaint Louverture, and studies in Marketing and Public Relations at the Center for International Diplomatic Studies (CEDI). He is married and lives in New York with his wife and two children.
The former Ticket Max Académie champion made his debut at the Haitian company Surfing On Back of which he was the director, an entity resulting from the group Elroy Productions who worked in the theater. It was here that he began his experiences in management and human resources.
When he was younger, becoming an entrepreneur never crossed Roby’s mind. Yet arrived in the United States in 2012, without hope of finding a job that met his financial needs, he was forced to play hand and foot to be able, little by little, to build an economically decent life, far from his family and without any support from his relatives who were not at all wealthy people. It was in the street that he started, going door to door with companies to offer his services. He had to wipe a lot of rejections, face a lot of humiliations, before making a place for himself in this very stony market.
“From Haiti where I was employed by Digicel in the Customer Care department, through Blacberry Experts Postpaid to fall into the store market on Flatbush New-York to ask people if they need help, for me it was a degrading situation”, recognizes Célestin who told us about his inglorious beginnings on the soil of Uncle Sam. But he was not discouraged, he held on until the day he decided to launch his own business.
“What will definitely guide me in business is when I will start working and earn on commission. This will develop discipline in my home and allow me to know how to make money in America so I don’t go to work with people. working on a commission you work for a company, you are the boss yourself, the amount you earn depends on your workforce, your perseverance and determination, ”he recounts.
Birth of Longbido
Then in 2015, with his childhood friend Atis Djeffson, he created Longbido, a company that offers men a product to boost their sexual performance (a drink that gives men strips). “We were only selling on the internet, and in just seven months, the company had generated $ 1.2 million,” tells the entrepreneur to Loop Haiti. He will then found CELESTIN Companies which would have made a profit of $ 3 million in 2020.
Today he manages Longbido, Célestin Enterprises and Ti Kawòl Group which is co-owner from Palm Hair Care, a beauty product specially designed for hair care that can be found in all supermarkets in Haiti, especially on the shelves of Delimart. “Today I can say that I am the CEO of Longbido, co-founder. Founder of CEnterprises, co-founder of Ti Kawòl LLC, a company that shows people how to do business online,” he said.– he shouted in a voice note addressed to our editorial staff.
Célestin has been honored several times in the United States for his successes in the entrepreneurial sector.
He wants to contribute to the development of young entrepreneurs
In addition to his activities, Robenson Célestin has been running a training course on entrepreneurship for three years which brings together entrepreneurs and influencers from the Haitian community including Carel Pèdre and Blondedy Ferdinand who were still present this year.
“My dream is to build an empire that will bring in a minimum of $ 20 million per year, and one of my greatest ambitions is to contribute to the fight against the extreme poverty that rages in the Haitian community by creating jobs while training young people to become effective entrepreneurs to ensure prosperity “he promised in his words.
