FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The North Sumatra Regional Police Criminal Investigation Team together with the Simalungun Police released a robbery case using homemade firearms against palm oil entrepreneurs in Huta VI Nagori Hamlet, Ujung Padang District, Simalungun Regency.

In the release, two perpetrators of the robbery, namely Budi Purnomo alias Bondet (29), a resident of Huta III Kampung Benteng Nagori, Ujung Padang District, and Faisal Sumarlin (29), a resident of Jalan Dipenogoro, Kota Kisaran District, Asahan Regency.

Head of North Sumatra Police Public Relations, Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi, said Bondet was the mastermind behind the robbery case against Ratmanto (39), a resident of Huta III Adil Makmur Nagori, Bosar Maligas District, Simalungun Regency.

“The perpetrators and victims know each other because they have often sold palm oil for the past seven months,” he said accompanied by North Sumatra Police Deputy Commissioner Alamsyah and Simalungun Police Chief AKBP Ronald Sipayung at the North Sumatra Police Headquarters, Thursday (9/3).

During the buying and selling of palm oil, Hadi revealed that the perpetrators often saw the habits of the victims who held money. Then the perpetrator’s intention appears to control the victim’s money.

On Thursday (2/3) morning, when he arrived at the warehouse, the victim received Rp. 18,120,000 from his employees. The perpetrator, who had already planned the robbery, asked his friend Faisal (29) to point the gun directly at the victim.

“Then, the Bondet perpetrator seized the money that the employee had just handed over from the victim and then fled on a motorbike,” said the palm oil entrepreneur, who immediately made a report to the Simalungun Police.
