Robbie Coltrane died at the age of 72. For the stars Harry Potter, the departure of actor Rubeus Hagrid leaves sad but also sweet memories. They remember him as a humorous figure who always brings joy to the set.
“Robbie is one of the funniest people I’ve ever met and he always made us kids laugh on set,” said Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, in an official statement quoted by Variety.

For 10 years they have shared scenes in eight Harry Potter films, from “Sorcerer’s Stone” (2001) to “Death Hallows – Part 2” (2011).

“I remember very well that he always encouraged us when we got caught in a storm on the set of ‘The Prisoner of Azkaban’. I was very lucky to have met and worked with him. It’s so sad to know he’s gone. Robbie he’s a great actor and a good man, ”added the 33rd actor that year.

WME, the agency that oversees Robbie Coltrane, confirmed his death on Friday (10/14/2022). Prior to his fame as a Hagrid figure, the actor who began his acting career in the early 1980s was part of the “James Bond” franchise family. Two films of Agent 007 starred him, namely “Golden Eye” (1995) and “The World Is Not Enough” (1999), as a Russian mobster named Valentin Dmitrovich Zukovsky.
One of his greatest achievements is winning three British Academy Television Awards. Robbie Coltrane achieved it thanks to the reproduction of the British TV series “Cracker” in 1993-1995.
