Action robbery armed with a gun occurred at a bank in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta. The perpetrator was thwarted by a bank security guard after previously opening fire.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E Zulpan said the experiment robbery it happened on Tuesday (5/4/2022), around 15.00 WIB. The assailant suddenly entered and fired shots.
“According to the statements of the witnesses, when the perpetrator entered through the front door, he immediately took out a gun, then the perpetrator shot towards the police teller which is about the glass of the table divider teller,” said Zulpan as in his statement, Tuesday (5/4).
Zulpan said that at that time the witness, who was also a bank security officer, was trying to secure the perpetrator. But at that time, he said, the perpetrator had fired his weapon
But in the end the perpetrator was thwarted by the security guard. A gun was seized from the perpetrator.
“The witness realized that the perpetrator shot with a type of weapon airsoft gun which can be immediately arrested,” he said.
The perpetrator was immediately taken to the Cilandak Police Station. A number of evidences were also secured, including one weapon airsoft gun.
