Robbery Pokémon Cards worth half a ton: cell for threesome

Three men have been jailed for 30 months for looting almost half a ton of Pokémon cards in a robbery of a collector. This has been determined by the court in Zwolle. These are men of 29, 30 and 31 years old. The Public Prosecution Service had demanded four years in prison.

The robbery took place in december 2020† One of the robbers, Fahad Al-A., made an appointment with the victim under a false name, who trades in Pokémon cards. The two others, Sjagalio K. and Bart G. then visited the collector’s home in Kampen.

Once the men put the cards in a bag, they asked for a bottle of Coke. It was in a pantry. The moment the victim bent down to pick up the bottle, he was pushed inside and the cabinet was locked from the outside.

G. and K. took 28 loose Pokémon cards and a box containing 36 sealed packs of eleven cards. The total value is estimated at 48,000 euros. The victim was able to be freed relatively quickly because he had his telephone in the cupboard and could call the police.

Rare Cards

Al-A. is considered by the court to be the originator of the robbery. According to telephone records, he was also in Kampen at the time of the robbery. G. and K.’s fingerprints were found on the pantry. Ten of the cards were later found in France and seized by the police.
