A 57-year-old from Linz was robbed on Monday night around 12:35 a.m. The woman was walking on Körnerstrasse when a young man stood in her way and demanded money. The man sprayed pepper spray in his victim’s face as he made the request. Even when the 57-year-old was already injured on the ground, the man didn’t stop spraying. Finally he grabbed the woman’s red handbag and fled in the direction of Weißenwolffstrasse.
Foreign accent and camouflage jacket
The suspect is described as about 1.70 meters tall and 20 to 25 years old. He has short black hair and was wearing black pants, light sneakers and a green camouflage jacket, also known as a “camouflage jacket”. He is said to have spoken with a foreign accent and had a dark complexion.
The State Criminal Police Office is asking for information. Potential witnesses or finders of the red bag should call 059133 – 40 3333. Relevant information about the perpetrator is also requested.
