At the end of the morning, a man robbed a tobacco shop in the Jordaan. Some time later a suspect was arrested.
The police were alerted about the robbery in Westerstraat around 11:30 am. The staff present was threatened by the man. It is unknown whether he managed to steal anything. He took off walking.
About an hour after the robbery, the police managed to arrest a man. According to a witness, he wanted to pick up a parked scooter in front of the business. Whether the suspect was indeed involved in the robbery is being investigated.
