A large amount of money was stolen from the home of a famous Dupnitsa businessman, Struma.com reports. The press center of the Ministry of Interior confirmed the information.
“On Saturday afternoon, a large sum of money was reported stolen from the owner of an apartment in Dupnitsa. In the ensuing actions, forensic scientists found that the intrusion took place with a selected or forged key.
The robbery took place while the family was away from the city. The amount of the stolen is being specified, as the money was in different currencies “, said the spokesperson of the OD of the Ministry of Interior Katya Tabachka. Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted. A duty prosecutor has been notified.
According to the local newspaper Vyara, the theft was from the apartment of Ivaylo Pavlov, owner of one of the largest men’s clothing stores in Dupnitsa – Apollo. According to acquaintances, it is about BGN 750,000.
Ivaylo Pavlov is one of the most established traders in Dupnitsa. Their family business began at the dawn of democracy with the sale of clothing at the City Department Store, where his mother had a booth.
After a while Pavlov made his own shop, which was profiled in the sale of branded men’s clothes and shoes. The company sells branded clothes, bags and shoes online. Apollo is among the most popular stores for young people and teenagers in the region, as it offers new and modern clothes that keep pace with global fashion trends.
Dupnitsa residents wonder why Pavlov kept such a large sum of money in his apartment. “If the amount stolen is really over half a million, then keeping such money outside the bank is unthinkable nowadays. “Unfortunately, the bad doesn’t have a day off,” the city commented.
The Apaches acted professionally because there was no breaking. Locals suspect that someone had prior information about the family’s absence from the home and so the thieves broke into the apartment undisturbed.
