The facts occurred around 9:30 am this Sunday morning (November 14, 2021). Three men, at least one of whom was in possession of a handgun, entered a store in the town center of the village of Lamentin. According to the first elements of the investigation, their objective was to extort their property from the customers present.
One of them reportedly rebelled, refusing to be robbed. Faced with his refusal to comply, the man received two bullets in the leg. He was taken care of by the emergency services and sent to the Pierre Zobda Quitman hospital in Fort-de-France. His vital prognosis is not engaged, according to investigators.
A police investigation is opened.
The three perpetrators, on the run, are actively sought.
