Zaandam
The Dekamarkt on the Zilverschoonplein in Zaandam was robbed on Saturday evening around 6.30 pm. The robber made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are looking for a suspect and have limited description. “But a striking one. The robber was wearing a face covering, which is quite striking given the current temperatures,” a police spokesman said. “So we hope that there are people who have seen something and can help us further in the search.”
No one was injured in the supermarket robbery. The spokesperson could not say whether a weapon was used. “That is currently being investigated. The investigation is ongoing and witnesses are being heard.”
The entrance to the supermarket has been cordoned off by the police.
