LUNTEREN The two suspects who were arrested on Wednesday evening for a robbery in Lunteren may have harassed two girls on the train just before that. This is reported by the police on the basis of an initial investigation.
From robbery of a young Lunteraan, who was slightly injured and was accompanied by two boys from Lunteren and Barneveld, took place at the station. A little later, thanks in part to several residents of the village, two minor suspects from Barneveld and Arnhem were arrested on Boslaan. “A big compliment to those who helped,” said the police.
The suspects are in custody and are being questioned by the detectives. Meanwhile, the police are continuing their investigation and are calling for witnesses.
“In the train that left Ede for Lunteren at 7.57 pm on Wednesday evening, two girls may have been harassed by the suspects. We would like to get in touch with them. Were you not harassed, but were you present on the train and do you have more information about the perpetrators? We would also like to get in touch with you. In addition to witnesses, we are also looking for more camera images around the station and the Boslaan in Lunteren. Do you own this? Let us know,” said the police.
