Rob Vanoudenhoven is at home in all markets. “I’ve been making art for twenty years,” he tells ‘Het Nieuwsblad’. “I paint, sculpt, make collages. My audience warm-up courses could not continue last year, my hall show ‘Het XIIIe werk’ was cancelled. Everything fell away, except what I love to do.”

Last weekend Vanoudenhoven made his debut as an artist for the general public in Bree with three works. Most notable is one with porn actresses with their most ecstatic faces. “There is a game in the images. Are they faking it? Do they really enjoy? I want to make something beautiful out of gore porn. Most people I tell about my work are shocked at first. Until they see it, then they like it. I like to mislead people. Surely there isn’t a computer in the world that has never been watched porn? That embarrassment, I think that’s weird. Everyone likes to make love, right?”
