“Rob de Nijs Leaves Hospital After 2-Week Stay for Parkinson’s Disease and Breathing Problems”

Rob de Nijs can leave the hospital again today. That confirms his manager. The eighty-year-old singer was admitted almost two weeks ago.

The singer, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, was hospitalized last month with breathing problems. His situation was then described as “worrying”.

Almost a week later, his wife Henriëtte reported that he was “out of the danger zone”, but still had to stay in hospital.

De Nijs will work on his recovery in an unknown place, writes The Telegraph. It is also not clear how long he will have to rehabilitate.

Last summer, De Nijs said goodbye to his Dutch fans with a performance in the Ziggo Dome due to his deteriorating health.

“I can’t take a step now,” De Nijs said in November 2022 about his illness. “It’s no different, I have that disease and it goes from bad to worse. Never to a little bit better. That can make you sad and we often are. But you shouldn’t think about it too much and see what you can do instead.”
