Rob de Nijs, who announced last year that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, has scheduled a few performances. Earlier, the 77-year-old singer announced that he would no longer perform due to his illness, but his management will be late on Wednesday Facebook know that, given the circumstances, he is doing “excellent”.
De Nijs will be performing at the Scala Theater in Utrecht on November 13, December 12 at the MECC in Maastricht and December 21 he will perform at 013 in Tilburg.
In addition, he is currently making the last recordings for his new album It’s Been Beautiful, that will be published in early November along with a book about the singer.
On behalf of his management, De Nijs thanks his fans for “the sweet words” he received.
In September 2019, De Nijs announced that he would stop performing because he suffers from Parkinson’s disease. He also made the news through a video of one of his performances in which he fell backwards from a stage.
De Nijs scored hits with songs like Rhythm Of The Rain, Jan Klaassen De Trompetter, Goodbye Sister Ursula, Malle Babbe in Banger Hart.
