The cabinet has declared a ‘partial lockdown’ for the whole of the Netherlands, because the number of corona infections is increasing too quickly. These are measures associated with the risk level ‘very serious’. (You can find the full route map here.)
This means, among other things, that catering establishments close and that you can receive a maximum of three people at home per day. In addition, meetings with more than thirty people are not allowed.

If the infections increase further, the cabinet can institute a full lockdown as a final step, the roadmap shows. Then no one is allowed to visit someone’s home, all meetings and events are prohibited, sports are no longer allowed in public and lessons can only be taught online at secondary vocational education, higher vocational education and university education.
Totale lockdown
“We will have to keep this up for at least four weeks,” said Minister Hugo de Jonge during the press conference about the new measures. “We will take stock in two weeks. If it is not good enough, a total lockdown is inevitable. But that should not be necessary. We can do it ourselves.”

Such a complete lockdown does not mean that nothing is allowed anymore. For example, 100 people are allowed in a building for funerals and 250 outside. For example, two people are also allowed to play sports outside, but at 1.5 meters.
Four weeks
The roadmap also shows that events for more than eighty people may only be organized again when the risk level drops to ‘vigilant’, the lowest level.
The ‘partial lockdown’ now applies in principle for four weeks, after which the aim is to return to a regional approach on the basis of the roadmap.
