It is already the second crossover of the summer holidays between the “juillettistes” and the “augustiens” for the weekend of August 8 and 9. Consequence: traffic will be “exceptionally difficult” everywhere, warns Bison Futé.

Saturday August 8
In the early afternoon (around), an accident involving a vehicle towing a caravan and another vehicle caused a holdback of more than 8 km in the Paris-Lyon direction near Chagny.
–
At the end of the morning around 11 am, an accident in the direction Paris – Lyon at PK 330 (Saône-et-Loire, near Tournus) resulted in a 16 km traffic jam at the end of the morning (11 hours) in the Paris-Lyon direction on the A6, at kilometer 346 in the town of Laives (Saône-et-Loire). The entrance ramp to Tournus remained closed for an hour.
Be careful if you take the road this weekend: the traditional cross-hunting will be all the more full-bodied as it takes place during the heat wave!
Saturday August 8 was classified BLACK by Bison Futé. There will be a lot of people on “the vast majority of roads” and the end of the weekend will be marked by more important returns.
From Friday 7 to Sunday 9 August, traffic will be difficult and in particular:
– in the South-West, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and on the Mediterranean arc, in both directions
-on the A43, A7 and A9 motorways
-on the A10 motorway linking Bordeaux and Paris
-on the A61 and A62 motorways connecting Bordeaux and Narbonne via Toulouse.
