Libreville, November 23, 2023 (AGP) – The Alembe-Medoumane road axis, temporarily closed to traffic due to a landslide recorded this Thursday, following heavy rainfall in recent days, has been restored the same, confirms a source close to the Ministry of Public Works.
The landslide which occurred on this Alembe-Medoumane section, in the province of Moyen-Ogooué, following rainfall in recent days, caused a temporary interruption of traffic.
Users heading to cities in the North and North-East of the country were surprised by the obstacle. “A huge buoy interspersed with trees has completely closed the roadway, to the point that no vehicle can pass from one side to the other,” says a local resident.
The Ndjolé Public Works subdivision was asked to intervene to restore traffic.
Reached by telephone by the AGP Editorial Team, the communications advisor of the Ministry of Public Works indicates that “traffic was restored at 1:15 p.m.”.
