Libreville, October 23, 2023 (AGP) – The President of the Transition, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma, ordered, this Monday, October 23 in Libreville, the restart of work on priority road projects in the capital and within the country , during a working session with the Minister of Public Works, Flavien Nzengui Nzoundou, reports a press release received by the AGP.
“(…) It was a question today for the two authorities to review the structuring road projects and above all to launch the restart of the works in the very next few days. These are mainly the Nsilé-Bifoun-Ndjolé, Ovan-Makokou, Ndendé-Tchibanga (30 km), Penyoundou-Tchibanga-Mayumba (10 km) axes, for the interior of the country.
Regarding urban roads in Greater Libreville, the priority projects are the Bambouchine road and the completion of work on the Lycée National Léon Mba footbridge, work on which has been stopped for several months,” the press release indicates. .
The President of the Transition, who includes the development of basic infrastructure in these urgent and priority projects, has, in his circumstantial intervention, instructed the Minister of Public Works to immediately launch the resumption of work in collaboration with the Minister of Finance.
Started during the last two mandates of the regime, these projects have been stopped to this day, to the great dismay of users. Their resumption ordered by the President of the Transition comes after the launch, last month by the Ministry of Public Works at the instigation of the Head of State, of the audit on the above-mentioned sites.
