Libreville, Tuesday November 21, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The government is reaching out to the Federation of Gabonese Enterprises for support on this project.
During an exchange yesterday with officials of the Federation of Gabonese Enterprises (FEG), the Minister of Public Works requested support from local banks with a view to implementing the “Emergency Road Maintenance Program” . “In the FEG, you have the banks, notably the BGFI. We therefore need at the government level to turn to local banks where we think the procedure can be shortened rather than constantly waiting for the traditional lessors that we know, whose procedures are always very long,” launched Flavien Nzengui Nzoundou.
According to the Minister of Public Works, the situation on the ground due to the ongoing heavy rains calls for emergency work. “We need to have a local partner who can raise funds for us as quickly as possible and I think that the patriotic fiber drives them and all the members of the FEG all agree to support us,” he said. He underlines.
On the FEG side, we intend to provide support for this program. “We needed to meet the minister to first try to understand what the short, medium and long term expectations of the Ministry of Public Works are and to see, as FEG member companies, how we can support this program,” indicated Jean-Baptiste Bikalou, vice-president of the FEG.
