Road infrastructure: the CEO of Colas received by the Prime Minister – AGP

Libreville, November 30, 2023 (AGP) – The Prime Minister of the Transition Raymond Ndong Sima, received, this Thursday, the Chairman and CEO of Colas Gabon, Christophe Roque, who demonstrated the desire of his group to support the vision of the CTRI in the field of infrastructure, we learn from a source close to the Prime Minister’s Office.

The discussions between the two personalities mainly focused on an inventory of the work carried out by this company. It was also an opportunity for the CEO of Colas Gabon to offer support to the state in the execution of projects contained in the CTRI roadmap consisting of improving the country’s national road network.

”We presented both the progress of our work and the Colas group’s availability to participate in the projects that will be launched by the transitional government in the coming weeks. We want to be a source of proposals and we want to provide technical and financial solutions and participate in the reestablishment of a certain number of projects,” indicated the CEO of Colas Gabon, Christophe Roque.

Present in Gabon for almost fifty years, Colas has carried out several projects. The most recent are the section of the trans-Gabonese Nsile-Bifoun, with a length of around sixty kilometers. The company will also carry out road rehabilitation work in Franceville. It is also preparing to deliver the work on the Bay of Kings in Libreville and on the railway line, it is a partner of SETRAG in the exploitation of Belinga iron.

And as part of the policy pushed by the Transition authorities, the CEO of Colas reiterated to the Head of Government his group’s desire to continue the partnership with Gabon.
