The unique design of the new type dissipates the impact energy and due to the rotation of the drums, the vehicle that has been in an accident remains on the track. One such installation of Korean production costs 10 million tenge and lasts 15 years.
Experts are confident that the fence will reduce the death rate in road accidents on roads of national importance. If the pilot project proves to be effective, the experience will be disseminated to all regions.
“For example, a car crashed into this wheel so that it would not fly out to the other side, its impact force is converted into rotational force due to the barrels that are installed. They are filled with durable semi-titanium material so that the barrel does not break. Taking into account delivery, as I said , this is not domestic production, they did customs clearance. Such a cost goes to materials,” said Nurbek Temirkhanov, deputy director of the Akmola branch of NC KazAvtoZhol.
