RKC and Almere City FC kept each other in balance on Thursday evening. The Eredivisie match ended goalless. RKC had the most chances and will therefore be the most disappointed with the 0-0. It yielded only one point in the battle against relegation.
RKC coach Henk Fraser tried to take the win in the final phase with a few offensive substitutions, but a goal was not achieved. Michiel Kramer, who came on for David Min in the 81st minute, also failed to make the difference. After Vitesse, the Waalwijk formation is the team with the fewest goals scored: 25. Vitesse has only scored 22 times.
RKC has 24 points with six games left to play, only two points more than Excelsior, which is in sixteenth place. The number 16 must play play-offs at the end of the season to ensure survival.
RKC has only won six times this season. For Almere City the number of victories is seven.
The important away match against FC Volendam is scheduled for RKC on Sunday. The number last in the Premier League held Feyenoord to 0-0 earlier in the evening.
