Stijn Spierings is on its way to the exit at RKC Waalwijk. The Premier League player is negotiating with the Bulgarian Levski Sofia about a transfer from the midfielder. The club is willing to pay half a million euros for Spierings.
That reports the Bulgarian Gong. It is expected that RKC and Levski Sofia will soon agree and the transfer will be announced in 2020. Spierings has a contract with RKC until the end of this season. Sofia is the current number two in the Bulgarian competition.
A departure from Spierings would be a major loss for RKC. The midfielder (23) had an important share in the promotion to the Eredivisie last season and is also one of the eye-catchers in Fred Grim’s team this season. He scored three times and gave three assists.
Spierings went through the youth academy of AZ, but never broke through in the first. He transferred to Sparta in 2016. After the relegation of the Castle Club, he signed with RKC.
