RK offends Anies and Ahok after he is officially promoted as Jakarta Governor Candidate

Candidate for Governor of Jakarta Ridwan Kamil he said his party would continue the work done by Acting Jakarta Governor Heru Budi Hartono and former governors such as Ann BaswedanBasuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) to Joko Widodo.

This was expressed by Ridwan Kamil after receiving the support of 12 political parties to run as a gubernatorial candidate in the Jakarta gubernatorial election 2024, at Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, Monday (19/8).

“I also think in a general sense that all previous governors have done a good job. We are committed to continue the achievements, the good things done by Pak Heru as the act, with Pak Anies as previous governor, Djarot, Ahok, Jokowi, “said the man who knew RK.

“Everybody has a history of success, if it’s good we’ll continue and stick to it, if there’s still a lack we’ll make it perfect,” he said.

RK admitted that he would work hard to make Jakarta develop in the next five years. He was also pleased that the Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka was present at his statement.

“We are very happy to have Gibran here because with the new law it is the responsibility of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia to coordinate the gathering of Jakarta and its surroundings,” he said.

At this confirmation event, Ridwan Kamil and Suswono wore white shirts with trousers chino. Several high-ranking KIM Plus party officials had the opportunity to give speeches.

Starting with Golkar General Secretary Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus, then PKB General Secretary Hasanuddin Wahid, Gelora General Deputy Chairman Fahri Hamzah, Teuku Democratic General Secretary Riefky Harsya, PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu, and Gerindra General Secretary Ahmad Muzani.

Muzani read the declaration by the general secretaries of the parties that support Ridwan Kamil-Suswono.

“Today, Monday 19 August 2024, the political parties that are members of the New Jakarta for New Jakarta coalition announced that they are nominating Ridwan Kamil as a candidate for governor and Suswono as a candidate for deputy governor in special regional leader 2024-2029. election for Jakarta,” Muzani said at a confirmation event at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, on Monday (19/8).

KIM Plus consists of Gerindra Party, Golkar, PAN, Democrat, PSI, PKS, NasDem, PKB, Gelora Party, Garuda Party, Perindo, and PPP. A total of 12 parties support Ridwan Kamil-Suswono. The general secretaries of the party who were present immediately signed the declaration letter.

KIM is a coalition of political parties supporting Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming in the 2024 presidential election, Suswono is a PKS group.

The KIM parties are really enough to nominate candidate pairs for the DKI Jakarta Gubernatorial Election 2024 But, over time, a ‘KIM Plus’ conversation has emerged. They invited parties outside the coalition to join.

The PDIP still has no remaining candidates for governor in the Jakarta Pilkada. PDIP, which is expected to win 15 seats in the Jakarta DPRD, is not enough to nominate a candidate for governor and deputy governor on its own.

Anies, who was left behind by PKS and NasDem, is also finding it more difficult to fight in Jakarta Pilkada 2024.

On the other hand, the pair of individual or independent candidates appeared for governor and deputy governor, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardhana.

The DKI Jakarta KPU has said that this pair has passed a fact check although there are allegations that they benefited from the Jakarta residents’ KPTs to support Dharma-Kun.
