Former Chief Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (REIT) Rizieq Shihab calling on Muslims to attend and flood the title 212 Action Reunion which will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021.
Rizieq’s call has been confirmed by Rizieq Shihab’s lawyer, Ichwan Tuankotta. Ichwan said that the call was received when his party visited Rizieq, who is currently serving a detention period at the Indonesian Police Headquarters Rutan.
“Let’s have a 212 Alumni Reunion. Come and attend. 2 December 2021,” Rizieq said in his call quoted on Sunday (28/11).
It is known that this year’s 212 Action Reunion is planned to be centered around the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta. Not only that, Rizieq also asked to be aware of the dangers of blocking and demolition before the action was held.
Rizieq also called for Muslims to make billboards, banners and memes related to the invitation to the 212 Alumni Reunion. He asked for the invitation to be disseminated massively everywhere.
“Distributed as widely as possible in the name of each mosque / madrasa / Islamic boarding school / assemblies / institutions / companies / communities with their respective symbols and logos,” said Rizieq.
Previously, the puzzle of the certainty of holding the 2021 Action Reunion was finally answered. The 212 Action Reunion Committee will continue to carry out the plan with a mass action with the event’s concentration point at the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta on December 2, 2021, even though in the midst of the corona virus pandemic.
Chairperson of the 212 Reunion Committee, Eka Jaya, explained that the plan for the 212 Reunion would still take the form of holding a mass action. He claimed that the activity was possible because DKI Jakarta had entered level 1 of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in preventing the corona virus (Covid-19).
“It’s already level 1, there are also many who are doing joint activities everywhere,” said Eka.
However, Polda Metro Jaya stated that until now they have not issued a permit related to the 212 Reunion event.
It is known, Action 212 is a mass action that was held at the National Monument Square in Jakarta on December 2, 2016. The inaugural action was held following a statement by the incumbent governor candidate in the 2017 DKI Jakarta Pilkada, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok, who was deemed to have insulted Islam.
After the inaugural 212 action in 2016, PA 212 regularly held events titled 212 Action Reunion in the following years. It is noted that PA 212 often holds a 212 Reunion event at Monas by inviting large masses from 2017 to 2019.
In 2020 ago, PA 212 did not hold a large Monas 212 Reunion due to the corona virus pandemic. They replaced it with a virtual dialogue event.
