Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria stated that the activities 212 reunion for now it cannot be done at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). The 212 committee questioned whether Riza’s statement represented Governor Anies Baswedan.
“As for Riza Patria, she is not part of 212, so I understand that if I have not done anything, I have given a unilateral statement without tabayun or communication with the 212 leaders. I also do not understand that what was conveyed represented Anies Baswedan or the DKI Provincial Government,” said Deputy Secretary General of the Alumni Brotherhood (PA 212) Novel Bamukmin when contacted, Sunday (15/5/2022).
Novel has not applied for permission to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to use JIS as the location for the 212 Reunion. However, he admitted that he was confused by Riza Patria’s unilateral statement regarding JIS’s permit for the 212 action without discussing it with the relevant figures.
“As far as I know personally, the 212 reunion is still far away and there is still no discussion as to where it will be and we will definitely communicate it to all 212 elements later for the 212 reunion,” said Novel.
“The comments from Riza Patria are also very confusing. Apart from that, he is also not part of 212 because he is only a substitute for the deputy governor, which at that time we were fighting for a package with Anies Baswedan,” he continued.
In line with Novel, Secretary of the PA 212 Syuro Council Slamet Maarif also emphasized that he had not asked JIS for the location of the 212 Reunion. However, Slamet mentioned the Monas issue.
“Who wants a reunion at JIS? The committee aja not yet formed. Just relax, there are many roads to Monas,” said Slamet.
As is known, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria emphasized that JIS was built for sports activities. Riza said that non-sports activities such as the 212 Reunion could not be carried out at JIS at this time.
“I need to emphasize that JIS was primarily built for sports activities, encouraging the birth of Indonesian proud athletes in the future. This is to correct the recent news in the mass media regarding the 212 reunion plan that uses JIS,” Riza said in a written statement, Saturday (15/15). /5).
Riza said that in the future JIS will become a place for various activities from sports to religion. Riza said regulations for non-sporting activities are being drafted by PT Jakarta Propertindo (JakPro).
“It is true, in the future JIS will become a public space, where residents meet and interact in religious, social and cultural matters. However, for these non-sporting activities, the regulations and provisions are still being drawn up by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro). For now, it cannot be used as a location for the 212 Reunion,” he said.
Like Gelora Bung Karno which can be used as a location for various activities, Riza said that JIS will also be open to positive activities by various groups. However, all regulations and provisions are still being finalized.
