Riyadh ∙ Syrian conjoined twins Ihsan and Bassam were brought to Riyadh for separation surgery following the instructions of King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Siamese twins arrived with their parents by air medical evacuation flight from Ankara, Turkey. The twins were shifted to the King Abdullah Specialist Hospital under the Ministry of National Guard.
Advisor to the Royal Court and the Supervisor General and Head of the Medical and Surgical Team of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) Dr. Abdullah Al Rabih thanked the King and Crown Prince for the humanitarian initiative.
He said it exemplifies the country’s humanitarian efforts to help those in need around the world without discrimination. The parents of the Syrian twins expressed their happiness and expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the King, the Crown Prince and the medical team.
