Between Saturday morning and Sunday morning, 13,331 positive corona tests were registered. The average fell for the fourteenth day in a row, according to figures from the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).
Last week, RIVM recorded a total of 99,949 positive tests. On average, there were 14,278 positive tests per day in the past week. Two weeks ago, that average was still above 21,000.
Amsterdam had 591 positive tests, Rotterdam 363 and The Hague 362. In Utrecht, 327 people were told that they had contracted the corona virus. In Tilburg, 181 infections were established.
RIVM received 48 reports in the past day that corona patients have died as a result of the infection. The fact that the death of these people has now been registered does not mean that they died within the past day. In the past week, RIVM received 357 reports of deaths, an average of about 51 per day.
