In the municipality of Groningen, 30 people have been tested positive for the corona virus since Friday. This is evident from public data from the RIVM.
The number of corona infections in the municipality has now reached 3,722 since the outbreak of the virus. On Friday, this number was 3,692. This represents an increase of 0.8 percent. No new hospital admissions were reported. In the province, 84 new infections were found, the majority of which were found in the municipality of Groningen. In the municipality of Stadskanaal, 13 new infections are involved, Het Hogeland and Westerkwartier 10, Westerwolde 8, Midden-Groningen and Veendam 3, Delfzijl, Oldambt and Pekela 2 and Loppersum 1.
In addition, one death was reported. A resident of the municipality of Oldambt died of a corona infection. A resident of Het Hogeland and a resident of the Westerkwartier had to be hospitalized.
Nationally, 6,671 people were tested positive over the past 24 hours. 248 people were admitted to the hospital, bringing the total number of hospital admissions to 2,384 of which 602 are in Intensive Care. 73 new deaths were reported to the RIVM.
