RIVM: 9839 new positive corona tests | Inland

In Rotterdam, 641 positive tests were added between Friday morning and Saturday morning. Amsterdam had 559 new cases, The Hague 375 and Utrecht 216.

Just over 70,000 positive tests have been recorded in the past seven days. Since the outbreak began in February, more than 351,000 Dutch people have been tested positive. The actual number of people who contracted the virus is almost certainly higher, because not everyone was tested in the early stages of the outbreak. An unknown number of people have died or been cured without ever having been diagnosed with the virus.

The number of reported deaths increased by 51 in the last 24 hours. That does not mean that all these people died in the past 24 hours. Such information is sometimes passed on with some delay. 87 deaths were reported between Thursday morning and Friday morning.

Number of corona patients in intensive care by 17 up

The number of corona patients in intensive care has increased by 17 compared to Friday, according to figures from the National Coordination Center for Patient Dispersion (LCPS) on Saturday. IC staff now care for 584 patients with Covid-19.

The number of corona patients on nursing wards has increased by 46 to 1,864 patients. All in all, 2,448 Dutch Covid-19 patients are now in the hospital. Two of the patients are in the hospital in Münster, Germany, on the ic.

In addition to patients with Covd-19, there are another 452 people on the ic with other conditions. The total IC occupancy is therefore 1036 (of which the two in Germany), 22 more than on Friday.

In the past 24 hours, 38 patients have been moved to hospitals in other parts of the country. Among them were three corona patients.
