5323 new corona infections were reported to the RIVM until 10:00 this morning. That is 1102 less than yesterday.
On average, the number of positive corona tests is also falling: in the past seven days, an average of 7255 positive tests were registered per day. That is 27 percent less than the seven days before.
504 corona patients in hospital
The occupancy in the hospitals increased. There are now 504 people with corona in hospital (yesterday: 477), of whom 116 in the ICU (yesterday: 107), reports the National Coordination Center for Patients Spreading (LCPS).
4 deceased covid patients
4 deceased covid patients were reported to RIVM. In the past seven days, RIVM recorded an average of 3 deaths per day, compared to 1 death per day a week earlier.
The elderly run a relatively high risk if they get the coronavirus. That is why RIVM registers how many nursing homes have recently had corona cases. There are now 99 nursing homes where at least one corona infection has been diagnosed in the past two weeks. There were 43 a week ago.
