Occupancy in hospitals has increased slightly, but according to chairman Ernst Kuipers of the National Network Acute Care this is no cause for concern. 177 new corona patients have been admitted to the hospital’s wards. That’s 28 new recordings more than yesterday.
40 new patients were admitted to intensive care, almost all of them transferred from the nursing wards. That means 4 new recordings more than yesterday.
In total, there are now 2317 people with corona in hospital (yesterday: 2295), 600 of whom are in the ICU (yesterday: 598). More corona patients were admitted than were discharged, but the general trend continues to decline, according to Kuipers. And that will be reflected in the figures in the near future, he predicts.
