Everything with Rivian is very amplified,
Rivian has raised high expectations and they probably can’t and probably won’t live up to them.

The problem: After fast DC charging or strong acceleration, the vehicle’s battery contactor could overheat, causing arcing and warping of the electrical contact surfaces. In this case, the contactor may remain open or weld closed. If it remains open while driving, it could cause a loss of power, which could result in an accident.

The reason why Rivian makes the news seems cheaper than technical,
all cars are missing something from the factory, especially as they are completely new platforms with a lot of new parts,
only Rivian does not sell virtually any cars yet, and early cars seem to have a (relatively) small problem that can be solved.
