The car brand Rivian is one of the new generation of companies trying to enter the car market with an electric car. Until now, their cars have been available only in the USA, but now it is known that the electric cargo buses specially created by Amazon have started working in Europe.
Rivian offers electric pickups and SUVs, while electric vans are produced specifically for Amazon. If until now goods were delivered with them in the USA, now they have started to circulate in Germany, where 300 models have been delivered. They are currently in use in Brussels, Munich and Dusseldorf. More than 1,000 models of electric buses from other brands are already available on Amazon Europe.

The internet trade giant plans to invest 1 billion euros in the electrification of delivery transport in the next few years, where Rivian could play a big role. Amazon owns 18% of the company’s shares, so they have a special partnership that Rivian offers its electric commercial vehicles exclusively to Amazon for now.
Compared to the buses used in America, the European models are slightly shorter and narrower, adapting to our roads. They are also equipped with a large windshield to improve visibility. Each electric bus is equipped with various auxiliary systems, as well as the driver’s side is designed ergonomically for comfortable trips. A reinforced door has been created on the driver’s side, ensuring higher safety. For now, however, there is no information available about the distance covered by the Rivian bus.
