The mayor of the capital Eduardo Rivera Perezstated that they are not planning to grant concessions directly to individuals for the service of Street lighting and the operation of the parking meters.
In an interview, he assured that there will be public contests for the topics referred to in order to avoid any hint of opacity.
He mentioned that the city government will comply with all procedures that the law establishes.
Let it be very clear, we are going to comply with the law, that we are not going to make direct awards, that we are going to tender the procedures and may the best company win“, he declared.
He specified that the tenders for lighting and parking meters will be in the hands of those companies that propose the best price and highest quality.
