A new edition of the Concacaf League is close to starting and this Wednesday night the draw took place, so all the clubs involved in this contest already know which rivals they will have in their respective keys. Here we present the panorama and the confrontations that the Honduran teams will have.
CD MARATHÓN
The San Pedro Sula team will play a preliminary round against the Diriangén FC squad from Nicaragua. On paper, the Hondurans are favorites, so if they win this key they would access the round of 16 to face Real Estelí FC.
CD OLYMPIA
The ‘Lions’ are already classified directly to the round of 16 and their rival in this key is Inter Moengotapoe from Suriname. The Catracho team is also a favorite here because of the difference in teams and hierarchy in the area, although nothing is written in football and they must take care not to fall into excess confidence.
MOTAGUA
The Tegucigalpa team is also in the round of 16 and awaits the winner of the key that CD Universitario and AS Samaritaine will star in the preliminary round. Regardless of the rival that qualifies, Motagua will carry the weight of being a favorite on his shoulders.
Finally, remember that of all the teams participating in this edition of the Concacaf League, only six of them will be able to reach the next edition of the Concacaf Champions League, where clubs from MLS, Liga MX, Canada and the Caribbean will be waiting for them.
