Ritten takes revenge, wolves show no nakedness – AlpsHL

In the Alps Hockey League, only international duels were on the program on Saturday evening. Of the 4 South Tyrolean representatives, the Rittner Buam and the HC Pustertal were able to celebrate a success.

The Rittner Buam returned the favor at Salzburg II for the two painful defeats in the return-2-play phase and beat the Mozartstadters 4-1. Without McGregor Sharp and Radovan Gabri as well as long-term injured Kevin Fink, the Heiskanen squad showed a decent performance and earned 3 points. After a goalless third of the start, Stefan Quinz took the lead – the winger reacted fastest in front of Salzburg goalkeeper Merra and made it 1-0. Shortly afterwards Uusivirta saw Julian Kostner, who had run in, who put a shot from the wrist to 2-0 in the power play.

In the final third, Simon Kostner finally made the decision: The national player was served wonderfully by Dan Tudin in the power play and increased to 3-0 with a one-timer. Shortly before the end, Alberg shortened to 1: 3 after a blackout by Andreas Lutz, but the young bulls’ subsequent goal – just like Quinz’s empty net goal a little later – was no longer a cosmetic result. Thanks to the victory, the boys make up 2 places in the table and now take 10th place.

Front runner HC Pustertal showed no nakedness at the bottom of Linz II and clearly forced the Upper Austrians to their knees away with 7: 3. In the steel city, the superior wolves ensured clear conditions as early as the first quarter of an hour: HCP top scorer Massimo Carozza quickly brought his team to winning ways, Max Oberrauch, Tommaso Traversa and Viktor Schweitzer (in the majority) screwed the result to 4 a little later: 0 in the air – that practically decided the game.

Max Oberrauch & Co. gave Linz II no chance

The very young Canadian Arcuri (born 2003), who made his league debut in the ranks of the Linzers, shortened to 1: 4 before the end of the first third, but Bryson Cianfrone restored the 4-goal lead from Pusteria in the middle section. The second Linz goal, which Arcuri got again, was followed by Brett Perlini and Doppelpacker Oberrauch in the final third with the 6th and 7th Wölfe goal, respectively, before Pauschenwein put the final point under an eventful encounter with the 3: 7 in the last minute . With the away win, the HCP expanded its winning streak to 6 games and also defended its 5-point lead on table 2. from Laibach.

Val Gardena & the Broncos go away empty-handed

The HC Gherdëina was close to winning a point in the home game against EHC Lustenau, but had to leave the ice after 60 minutes as a loser. The Ladins took the lead 3 times in the course of the game, but gave up this lead just as many times and in the end just lost 3: 4. With Wilfan, D’Alvise and Haberl, the Vorarlbergers always had the right answer to the 3 hits of the HCG, contributed by double packer Diego Glück and points guarantee Matt Wilkins.

Before the end of the middle section, Karkls made it 4: 3 and put Lustenau in the front for the first time. At this score nothing should change until the final siren: Val Gardena pressed hard on the 4th hit and fired 21 shots at the guest housing in the last third alone, but the home side did not want to score another goal. So it remained with the narrow home defeat of the HCG, which slips back in the table behind the Rittner Buam.

After the two narrow victories against Fassa they had to Wipptal Broncos suffer another defeat on Saturday – in Jesenice it was a 1: 4 away swatter for coach Dustin Whitecotton’s side. The Slovenians dictated the action from the start and went 2-0 up against the defensively vulnerable wild horses with a double strike: First Sodja, who was criminally left alone, scored 1-0 from a central position, before Hebar only 21 seconds later from a very short distance – He also got to the target without any pressure – to 2-0.

Daniel Erlacher (left) had a difficult time against Jesenice

After Svetina had increased to 3-0 in the middle of the game, Broncos goalgetter Trevor Gooch brought his team up again: The American came in the majority on the boards to the puck, left a defender and scored with his 15th goal of the season 1: 3. The subsequent goal was nothing more than a flash in the pan, however: Right at the beginning of the final third, Rajsar got the final score 4-1 after a fine Tomazevic pass – thus the 12th Wipptaler defeat in the last 15 games was sealed.
