LIBREVILLE, July 11 (AGP) – As promised on the evening of the coronation of the Fatshi Cup, the Minister of Sports, Franck Nguema presented, on behalf of the Head of State, a special bonus worth 30 million FCFA to reward the coronation of the Gabonese team at the Uniffac tournament, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In an official statement, the Gabonese Football Federation (Fégafoot) announced that it would distribute this windfall this Wednesday, July 12, at its headquarters.
This special bonus from the Head of State comes on top of the 60,000 dollars (30,000,000 CFA francs) pocketed by the U20 national team for winning the competition. This now brings the total of their kitty to 60 million CFA francs.
« By this gesture, the Head of State demonstrates once again that he has faith in Gabonese sports youth to carry ever higher, further and stronger, the green-yellow-blue, and make Gabon worthy of ‘envy in the concert of nations’said the Gabonese Minister of Sports on his Facebook account, after the donation was given.
