The first remake of the much-loved ‘Risk of Rain’ was released on Steam and Nintendo Switch on the 9th.

The Risk of Rain series is a roguelike shooting game developed by HOPOO GAMES. The first work, ‘Risk of Rain’, was released in 2013 and received much love. The sequel, ‘Risk of Rain 2’, released in 2020, also received ‘overwhelmingly positive (96% positive)’ Steam user reviews and was enjoyed by many users.

‘Risk of Rain Returns’ is a remake commemorating the 10th anniversary of Risk of Rain. Compared to the original, the graphics have been improved, and new survivor characters, monsters, environments, and artifacts have been added. Additionally, some of the skills and artifacts from Risk of Rain 2 were applied to Risk of Rain Returns.

Meanwhile, the new mobile top-down shooter ‘Risk of Rain: Hostile’ was also announced on Gearbox’s official YouTube channel on the 9th. The game requires you to assemble a team of survivors to eliminate waves of enemies and explore the area. According to the released video, there will be a level for each survivor, so there will likely be a character drawing system. Detailed game information, including release date, has not been released.
