H&M informs about the recall of the article “Hairpiece with LED lights”. As reported by the company, the battery compartment of the hairpiece can break, so that the alkaline batteries (2 pieces) are accessible. This creates the risk of children sticking the batteries in their mouths, noses or ears and, in the worst case, serious internal injuries.
The hairpiece was sold in the children’s department in H&M stores and online at hm.com from July 23 to October 29, 2021.
The company has not yet received any information about incidents or injuries.
