For the first assignment, the finalists are asked to take an exciting photo of a kite surfer. Of course they have to do that while the kitesurfer is – yes – kitesurfing. For Georgina, Patrick and Frits this means that they also have to go into the water themselves.
Swimming with a camera can be quite tricky. Georgina, in particular, struggled to maintain focus and really get around to shooting. “I have no idea what I’m doing,” she says several times. In the video below you can see Georgina’s struggle.

All in all, the actress shoots a sloppy 1,100 photos, the vast majority of which are unusable. “I have six I can use,” she says. She then decides to take a big risk, which actually mainly shows water and clouds, instead of a kite surfer. With an argument she tries to convince jury members William Rutten and Cynthia Bol. “I think it’s the most beautiful photo I’ve taken so far,” said Georgina.
Unfortunately for her, the words don’t help her get a high grade. William and Cynthia are not at all impressed by the image that Georgina has submitted. “It’s artistic,” Wiliam begins. Then Cynthia says, “What is it?” They don’t like the clouds in the picture either. “And beyond that, it’s just not the job.”

The photo is ultimately rated with a five. An unsatisfactory score for Georgina. “That’s how it goes when you take a risk,” Georgina responds sportingly. “It’s hit or miss. I’m still behind it.”
In the online series Behind The Perfect Picture we speak to the dropouts of the program. In the video below, Juvat, who had to pack his bags in the semi-finals, talks about his adventure.
