He explained that smoking and lack of exercise are among the factors that help in the spread of colon cancer, and it was found that changing the lifestyle and resorting to foods rich in fiber from vegetables and fruits helps in reducing the incidence of colon cancer by 50%.

He continued: Campaigns are currently being conducted in all research centers and universities for the early detection of colon cancer in the groups most vulnerable to infection, especially over the age of 45, and this is done by taking a stool sample for a hidden blood test, which is an initial indicator of the possibility of colon cancer.

And he stressed that it is known that colon cancer may not bring any symptoms that clearly indicate infection, and the most important symptom that you should pay attention to is a change in the nature of the stool, explaining that there are some diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease that may cause colon cancer, and the use of a colonoscope is considered One of the basics in diagnosing colon cancer is that samples can be taken from the growths inside the colon to confirm the diagnosis.
