The cost of processors of domestic developers MCST and Baikal Electronics has doubled since the beginning of the year.
For example, on the website of the Chip and Dip retailer, the price of BE-T1000 processors increased by 55%, to 8.9 thousand rubles apiece. Baikal Electronics said that we are talking about old chips, it cannot affect their prices.
The interviewed experts believe that prices have risen due to increased demand from Russian manufacturers of servers, storage systems and PCs, as well as the transfer of production to new foreign factories. Manufacturing and logistics processes have become more complex.
