News18 Rising India Summit 2023: Today is the second day of News18’s two-day Leadership Conclave Rising India Summit 2023. On the second day of the summit, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is giving his views on all the issues including the security of the country. During this, he also spoke on women empowerment. He said, ‘Today women are empowering the country by being a part of the army. We have always believed that women are not less than their male counterparts in any respect. Women can work like men from thinking and understanding to ground level, but can do better than them.
In the program, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, ‘When it comes to equality between men and women in the nation building, our daughters are left far behind. Being left behind does not mean that they are behind, but we have shown hesitation in giving them opportunities somewhere, that’s why after coming to power, we have constructed roads from toilet to parliament for women. After 2014, women realized that they should have basic things like toilets. We have also taken massive steps in education for the daughters of the country.
