In Ukraine, a boom in the popularity of cheap electric cars and hybrid cars is expected in the near future due to rapidly rising fuel prices. Now the sharp rise in prices has also affected automobile gas.

This situation will spur demand for electric and hybrid vehicles. Ukrainians are showing increasing interest in them due to expensive gasoline and diesel.
In August 2023, Ukrainians bought 3,841 electric cars (new and used). Demand increased by 11% compared to July and was 2.6 times higher than the result of August 2022.
Also, in the last month of summer, Ukrainians bought 1.8 thousand hybrids. This is the highest sales of hybrid models in the last 20 months.
Traditionally, Ukrainians choose inexpensive models in every category. This means that demand for the popular Toyota RAV4, Camry, Prius, Ford Fusion and C-Max (hybrids), as well as the Volkswagen e-Golf, Tesla Model 3 and Nissan Leaf (electric vehicles) may increase significantly in the near future.
