The piece sale of chicken eggs in Russia, caused by the rapid rise in prices for this product, has reached Moscow.
In particular, such trading began in the Moscow chain of supermarkets “Verny”, where one egg of the lowest category C3 costs almost 9 rubles. The corresponding photographs taken by Russian media are actively distributed on social networks.
Meanwhile, the price of a dozen eggs of category C2 reached 239 rubles, and category C1 – 262 rubles.
“Before this, piece trade in eggs began in Orenburg, Novosibirsk and occupied Crimea”– clarifies Telegram channel “Ukraine 365”.
For example, on the shelves of Crimean stores, selected eggs were sold for 20 rubles apiece, that is, 200 rubles for a dozen.
Over the last week of November, eggs in the Russian Federation rose in price by 4.4%, and since the beginning of this year – by 36.6%. In terms of price increases, eggs are second only to bananas and tomatoes, which have risen in price even more – by 45.6% and 43.6%, respectively.
RosSMI cite comments from Russians who are outraged by the prices and complain that they will soon have to buy eggs individually.
