Rising Demand: Lithuanians Flock to Buy Real Estate in Tenerife Amid Russia-Ukraine Conflict

After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, more and more Lithuanians are buying real estate on the Spanish “paradise island” of Tenerife.

For Lithuanians, the island of Spain in the Atlantic Ocean has always been a popular place for winter recreation. Many people use this place to spend the winter. However, more and more people are now deciding to buy real estate in Tenerife.

According to “Keller Williams Sunset” real estate agent Ieva Vainaites, Czechs, Poles, Slovaks and Lithuanians began to show great interest in buying properties in the Canary Islands already on the first day after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

According to the agency, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, real estate prices in Tenerife have increased by more than 30%. The most demanded objects are usually in the price category up to 200 thousand euros, but they come to the market very rarely and there is a shortage of them.
