Head of security forces Hamas, Jehad Mheisen, reportedly killed in Gaza. Members of Mheisen’s family were also reported dead.
Reported BBCFriday (20/10), this news was reported by media affiliated with Hamas. Al Arabiya reported Mheisen dead at his home.
The wife of Hamas founder Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi was also reportedly killed. On Wednesday (18/10), news agency AFP reported that Jamila Al-Shantee, the first woman elected as political leader of Hamas, was killed in an Israeli attack.
Earlier this week, the Israel Defense Forces said in a post on X that senior Hamas official Ayman Nofal had also been killed.
9 Palestinians Killed
The death toll from the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is increasing. Most recently, 9 Palestinians in the West Bank were reported killed as a result of Israeli attacks.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that seven people were killed in “Israeli attacks on the Nur Shams refugee camp” in the northern West Bank.
One of the dead victims was identified as a 16 year old boy. The Palestinian Ministry of Health has also been informed of victims “who could not be transferred by ambulance to hospital”.
